1. Change Order Management Training for a Contractor's (or Owner's) Field Staff

One of our most popular training and technical support programs is a series of two-to-four-hour workshops for a contractor’s field personnel followed by continuing technical support and hands-on application of the skills learned. Master record keeping, identifying and documenting extra work, preparing or reviewing change order requests or claims, and maintaining the schedule.

2. Project and Program Management Systems for Public Works Agencies or Facilities Managers

This includes a needs assessment, improved program management procedures and systems, purchase of project/program management software, training, implementation, and continued support.Clients include King County (WA), the City of Salem (OR), Tektronix, AT&T, and many others.

3. Construction Schedule Training and Technical Support for Contractors

An intensive, one-day workshop on construction scheduling for foremen, superintendents, project engineers and managers. Review the basics and learn practical methods of scheduling. After the workshop, prepare a schedule for an actual project with help by the instructor.

4. Technical Support for M/W/DBE/ESB Contractors in Sheltered Market Programs

We mentor and assist disadvantaged contractors in estimating, scheduling, project management, and other aspects of contracting for public works agencies or facilities managers. Current sponsors include the City of Portland, the Portland Development Commission, and the Port of Portland.

5. Project Planning & Control Toolbox Training Sponsored by the Project Management Institute

This fast-paced seminar emphasizes the critical need for planning as the basis for project control. Take the initiative and employ practical tools to develop a ready-to-go project plan. Use the plan to proactively control project results and walk away with skills you can immediately apply on the job.

6. Subcontractor Scheduling and Pass-Through Claims Training

A one-day workshop on how to avoid delays and get paid for extra work. Sponsored by a trade group for a specific craft as an in-house seminar for medium to larger subcontractors.
