Investigation of building envelope defects requires an intimate understand-
ing of building science and water intrusion issues. This includes roofing,
cladding, windows, doors, flashing and vapor barriers, in addition to fram-
ing. We advise on design errors, manufacturing defects, installation errors,
and improper maintenance on projects as small as single-family homes
and larger than 150,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facilities and 350,000 sq. ft.
offices. And we prepare building envelope design for architects and their
clients.

For two decades, Pinnell/Busch has been evaluating Exterior Insulation
and Finish System (EIFS) and traditional cement stucco system failures in
a variety of building applications. With this extensive exposure, we have
gained a comprehensive understanding of the pitfalls in using EIFS and
stucco, and the appropriate ways to safeguard a building, and its owners
from deterioration, damage, and unexpected maintenance.
Building Interiors, Finishes, and Sitework
Other areas of investigation include foundations, interior and exterior fin-
ishes, fire safety, cabinetry, decks, excavation, paving, flatwork, drainage,
landscaping, irrigation and, in some cases, sound transmission.

necessary, we can locate nationally recognized specialty experts, like the
