Key Team Members

Consultants Gale Powell, Butch

and Dave Brenneman.

Our 30+ years of successful projects are based on our team’s education and
experience in engineering and architectural design, blended with years of
working as contractors and public works management consultants. Our
understanding of the construction process complements the expertise of large
design firms, facility managers, and public works agencies. The support we
provide includes:

Critical Path Scheduling
Master plan schedules, construction duration estimates, construction sched-
ules, review of contractor schedule submittals, progress tracking, evaluation of time extension requests, and resolution of delay claims.

Cost Estimating
Conceptual/budget estimates, pricing design alternatives, life-cycle costing,
value engineering cost analysis, detailed cost estimates for bid evaluation
or contract negotiation, and check estimates for change orders.

Value Engineering and Constructability Reviews
Functional analysis of each project element, brainstorming alternatives, and
determining the most economical method of providing each function. Con-
structability reviews of the plans and specifications to ensure they are eco-
nomical to construct.

Cost Accounting and Control
Budgeting, staffing plans, cash flow forecasts, cost and scope management
during design, adaptation of organizational accounting systems to track pro-
gram costs, and tracking design and construction costs.

Risk Assessment
Identification and assessment of risks, with preparation of a decision matrix
and mitigation plans.

Partnering and Teambuilding
Developing a positive working relationship among the parties and identifying
potential problems and dispute avoidance procedures.

Dispute Resolution and Claims Defense
Change management to reduce conflict, document changes, negotiate time
extensions and change orders, and defend against claims.

management and service on program advisory boards.
